Over the years fundraising from the PTFA has meant that the school has benefited from both small items and large scale projects that have all enriched the children's time at school.
Outdoor Classroom
Our newest project has been the recent delivery of an outside classroom. It was so important to the school as it allows lessons to be delivered outside, increasing children's access to the outdoors and bringing an element of fun and excitement to learning. The new tables have games surfaces which will allow "quiet play" during lunch and break times too. Our aims are to connect the classroom to the nature space and re introduce some "nature inspired" learning and to include some planters around the new classroom to get the children gardening too!
Muga
One of the largest projects funded to date has been the Multi Use Games Area in the playground. The previous surface was broken, water logged and covered in moss so any sports activities were seriously hampered! The new MUGA is bright, bold, safe and fun providing football, netball, tennis and cricket matches to be played as well as all PE lessons to be taken outside! This area us a genuine benefit to each and every pupil and we are very proud of it!
