💫🌈WELCOME FROM THE PTFA!
💫🌈 As the academic year starts again we would like to welcome all parents and carers, old and new to the school and introduce you to the PTFA.
🌈 We are a group of voluntary parents and teachers who work hard to apply for external funding for the school and organise and run a variety of events within each year. These events have two aims; to raise money to make your child’s experience at school more enriched with things like the Literature Festival, pantomime, science days, and school equipment; and to bring children and parents together to strengthen our community. If you would like to join the PTFA to offer your help, experience or support there are always roles available including Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Communications, Fundraising and Events. We only meet once a half-term and the roles can be shared with other parents to lighten the load. We need as much help as possible, so don’t be shy and chat to us at helpkhps@gmail.com
❤️ We also rely exclusively on parent support to make the social calendar magic happen! Events just wouldn’t exist without parents giving an hour of their time to plan or help run the stalls. It is really fun, allows you to connect with other parents and, most importantly gives the kids fun-filled memories of their time at school, with you by their side. It really is a win-win situation. We welcome all and any support, because even half an hour on a stall makes a huge difference to everyone trying to get the event off the ground. Remember that you can help on a stall with your child and they actually LOVE doing it!
👀 Despite all events being very well attended by families, it is fair to say that it been difficult to drum up helpers. This has left those who do volunteer sometimes feeling frazzled or the events have been condensed to compensate. As a result, we are going to take a different approach this year. We will send out a sign up sheet for helpers well in advance for all events. If we do not have enough volunteers to run the event two weeks before, then it wont happen and tickets will not go on sale. Obviously, it is sad to be making this decision but this way everyone gets fair notice of the event and the opportunity to help to make it happen.
