✨ WOW 🤩 What an incredible amount of money to raise and it’s all down to you and your kids!
⚽️ The children worked so hard learning new sports skills, were super brave showcasing them against their teachers and so supportive, talking about the event to anyone who would listen - we are so proud of them!
❤️ Without the grownups sharing the story, Justgiving Page and showing up to spend cash at the party, we couldn’t have reached this incredible total and can now start work on the sand pit of dreams - maybe even before the end of the school year! Thank you all so much for the huge support.
✨ A special thanks to the amazing team who organised, arranged, coordinated and ran both the sponsored event and the party in the playground. There were many moving pieces for this one and it is pretty magic that people continue to give up their own time, sports equipment and donations to get events like these off the ground. Please keep volunteering so we can keep going! ✨
🥎 Special shout out to all the incredible local clubs that came along and gave up their time (for free and often taking holiday from work to do so) to come and coach the kids. The sounds of screams of joy when a six was hit or a goal was scored was an indicator of how much they enjoyed the sessions. If you are considering sports for you or your child, then do remember Moseley Tennis Club, Moseley Rugby Club, Moseley Cricket Club, Sparkhill Netball Club, Kings Heath Sports FC and Kings Heath Clangers Basketball Club. Feedback from coaches was that there are some stars in the making so check out this weeks newsletter for more info about what’s on offer.
💛 Final thanks goes to the school staff, including the ever patient and kind Mr Clabon and Mr Habib who made sure things stayed on track. We reckon it was the strongest turn out ever from Team Teacher and, honestly, this is what the kids are most excited about. Mr Unicorn put in a solid performance in goal only just beaten by Mr G for best dressed sports personality of the year. 🐸
✨ The awesome mix of silliness, sporting prowess and enthusiasm from the teachers who volunteered is what delights the pupils, engages the parent community and makes this school so special.
